Thank you for entrusting your child to me. I promise to do my best everyday as your child’s companion in learning. I hope to instill a love of learning that will last throughout your child’s learning career and beyond. I will treat your child with respect and manifest a desire within them to respect others. I will work alongside you this year to help your child grow in their faith, academics, and emotionally.
Third grade is a year of growing independence. The average third grader is explosive, excitable, dramatic, and inquisitive. At this age your child is learning how to set goals and understand the consequences of his/her behavior. You can help by encouraging him/her to begin setting goals; learn about choices and consequences, as well as becoming more responsible.

If I Could… I would teach each child to be positive, to smile, to love and be loved. I would teach each child to take time to observe some miracle of nature- the song of a bird, the beauty of a snowflake, the orange glow of a winter sunset. I would teach each child to feel warmth towards peers for whom the task of learning does not come easily. I would teach each one to be kind to all living creatures and show compassion always. Everyday I would have each child feel special and, through my actions, each one would know how much
I really care
